Don’t expect Giants coach Brian Daboll to call offensive plays again in 2024. Or at least that was one of the big takeaways from co-owner John Mara’s Monday media session, after Mara and Steve Tisch decided to retain Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen for a fourth season — despite a 3-14 record this season (following 6-11 in 2023).

John Mara, however, retained both Daboll and GM Joe Schoen but issued directives that an improvement must take place immediately. Daboll is now entertaining a step back into a CEO coaching role, though the fourth-year Giants HC did not confirm if the idea of another shift was his or Mara’s.
