Tiger Woods admitted that it was "very difficult" to relocate The Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego in the wake of the wildfires in California.

The PGA Tour recently announced that Torrey's South Course would replace Riviera Country Club this year after a devastating wildfire in Pacific Palisades, California.

Tiger Woods said the goal was to keep the Genesis Invitational on or near the West Coast. It was moved to Torrey Pines outside of San Diego.

As of Friday, Gorsich was doing anything he could to support the Genesis Invitational while also overseeing his own tour event with 75 golfers playing into Saturday’s final round, toward an overall purse of $9 million and a winner’s check of $1.67 million.
