The Los Angeles Chargers decided to take a chance on Ezekiel Elliott, signing the former first-rounder to their practice squad. The Chargers already have a pretty crowded running back room composed of: J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal.

The 9-year veteran saw career-low numbers in every major category and was finally released Dec. 31 so that he might sign with a contender.

Here are five things to know about the newest Charger: Elliott is a three-time Pro Bowler who has also made a pair of All-Pro Teams (one First-Team and one Second-Team) in his NFL career. The 29-year-old has also twice led the NFL in rushing, doing so in 2016 and 2018 while in Dallas.
