Jeremy Swayman will not play in Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators due to an upper-body injury suffered the day before.
After a hard-fought 2-0 win against the Ottawa Senators on Jan. 23, the Boston Bruins returned to practice on Jan. 24. Bruins star goalie Jeremy Swayman participated in practice after not dressing against the Senators due to an injury.
On Jan. 23, Boston recalled goalie Michael DiPietro from their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins. This indicated that Swayman would be forced to miss time, and Sacco gave a new injury update about No. 1 before their contest against the Ottawa Senators.
The Bruins goalie, who returned to practice on Friday, will not only dress on Saturday, but he’ll start for Boston against Colorado in the 1 p.m. game at TD Garden.

The Bruins, who had eight shots on goal through two periods, tied the game 1-1 when Geekie scored 25 seconds into the third period. Geekie then gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead at 5:44. Pastrnak controlled the puck behind the Colorado net, skated around Wedgewood's right side, and found Geekie on the far post for the backdoor tap-in goal.
