The Buffalo Sabres will be without Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on a day-to-day basis as the goaltender is dealing with an undisclosed injury, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff told Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News on Sunday.

Levi has been on a spectacular run in Rochester, going 12-3-1 with a 2.33 goals-against average and .913 save percentage. He took the loss Friday night in a shootout against Lehigh Valley in Blue Cross Arena despite stopping 30 of 32 shots.

Luukkonen will attempt to rebound after stopping just 23 of 28 shots in a 6-2 loss to Seattle on Saturday. He's 13-13-4 with a 3.02 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 31 outings in 2024-25. Carolina ranks sixth in goals per game with 3.34.

Tage Thompson had taken a shot from the point, and Jiri Kulich was parked in front of the net battling for position. When the rebound bounced toward him, he kicked it toward the net attempting to get a stick on it.

Ryan McLeod scored two goals and the Buffalo Sabres beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2. Dylan Cozens and Tage Thompson also scored and Jason Zucker had two assists for the Sabres, who won for the third time in four games.
