Victor Wembanyama making his first All-Star appearance headlines the list of reserves for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

The Spurs' Victor Wembanyama and the Rockets' Alperen Sengun were among six first-timers named to the NBA All-Star Game on Thursday, when the league announced the reserves.

Heading into the 2024-25 NBA campaign, San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama securing Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) honors almost felt predetermined.

Victor Wembanyama has been selected as a first-time NBA All-Star reserve, joining notable players for the Feb. 16 event in San Francisco.

The 7-foot-3 generational talent will be joined by fellow first-timers Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets and Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West, as well as East new faces Evan Mobley from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cade Cunningham from the Detroit Pistons, and Tyler Herro from the Miami Heat.

The faces of the NBA are still Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, with Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, when Durant, James, and Curry retire, the title of "face of the NBA" will be up for grabs. ESPN analyst and former player Kendrick Perkins seems to think SGA will be the next face of the NBA.

The game is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
