COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - When the Texas A&M men’s basketball team clanked a free throw off the rim during one of their last two home games, an audible groan rose from the student sections behind the basket.

HAMILTON, Ala. (WTVA) — Authorities captured an Alabama prison escapee after he stopped at a Buc-ee's in Texas. Pierson Anthony walked away from a prison in Hamilton, Alabama, on Saturday night, Jan. 25. A licence plate reader alerted police in Melissa, Texas, of his escape vehicle at a Buc-ee's.

A state prisoner was reported to have escaped from custody in Marion County. The Alabama Department of Corrections said Pierson Anthony was incarcerated at the Hamilton facility and is believed to have walked off property about 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.
