The five-match series between India and England was expected to be a high-scoring one. A battle of sixes if you will. But three games in, this hasn't been the case, but the series has by no means been devoid of thrills.

India and England have reached Kolkata ahead of the first T20I of the five-match series on Wednesday, January 22 at the iconic Eden Gardens. T20Is are set to return to the iconic venue after nearly three years.

India bowled England out for 132 in the first of the five-match T20I series at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The visitors, who were once 65/2, grappled in the middle overs before perishing. Skipper Jos Buttler, who scored a fifty, found no support in the middle.

India has won the toss and elected to bowl first in the series-opening T20 against England's cricketers in Kolkata. Mohammed Shami missed out for India despite the fast bowler being available after more than a year on the sidelines.

England defeated India by 26 runs in the must-win third T20I to keep their hopes of winning the series alive. After the hosts won the first two games of the five-match series, Jos Buttler’s team knew they had to win in Rajkot and did so thanks to a superb bowling display.
